The founder of WikiLeaks Julian Assange denouncedSaturday in Austin, Texas, the “military occupation” of the Internet to thousands of representatives of a technological community increasingly concerned about protecting privacy on the web.

The journalist and programmer from Australia spoke live via teleconference at the annual festival of technology, film and music known as South By Southwest (SXSW) held in Austin until late next week.
