Obama Arrives In Malaysia On Tour In Asia

Obama upon his arrival at Parliament of Malaysia was welcomed by an honor guard from the Royal Regiment of country.

The first visit to U.S. in almost half a century.

On the first visit to Malaysia by a U.S. president in nearly half a century, Barack Obama was preparing to hold talks on economic and security issues with Prime Minister Najib Razak, who heads an Asian nation that plays an important role in the efforts of Washington to forge deeper relationships with Asia.

The Associated Press reports that Obama down the presidential plane on a base of Air Force Malaysia on Saturday and was taken to Parliament Square in Kuala Lumpur, where he was received by the King and Prime Minister while echoing gunfire protocol. A military band sang twice anthems of both countries and Obama inspected the guard of honor in colorful uniforms.
