Nokia Completes Sale Of Phone Unit To Microsoft

The company Microsoft announced Friday that it has completed the purchase of devices and services business of Nokia, an operation of 7,500 million approved by the shareholders of the Finnish company and government authorities, reports EFE.

“This acquisition marks the first step in the two companies together on a computer,” Microsoft said in a statement on its website, which indicates that the operation involves some 25,000 workers worldwide.

The president and chief executive of Nokia, Stephen Elop, now will report to the chief executive of Microsoft, Satya Nadella , occupy the executive vice president of the Microsoft group of devices.
