eBay, based in San Jose, California, court reporters new portal for Latin America.
The eBay platform announced the launch of the new version in Spanish and Portuguese to provide better and more personalized service to its customers throughout Latin America. The company said that as of now the more than 2 million people in Latin America will visit eBay “search, browse and experience a world of choice and great value for the items you need (…) in their preferred language” and in their local currencies.
“Throughout the past year, eBay has started to build its presence in Latin America, partnering with PayPal in a variety of efforts, and realizing what is most important to buyers in the region,” said Wendy Jones, vice president of expansion Global cross-border trade and eBay in a statement.
“Latin America is one of the trading markets faster growth, and are innovating eBay experience for our customers, delivering attractive and relevant experiences-in their own language and currency, to allow them to buy anywhere in the world” he added.
Launching an eBay located in Latin America, the note details, marks the next step in the ambitious journey of several years the company to accelerate geographic expansion and cross-border trade in the BRIC (Brazil, Russia, India, and China markets South Africa) and other emerging.
Back in September 2013, eBay launched its first experience located in Latin America with the eBay mobile app Fashion in Portuguese. The eBay mobile app has been available in Spanish for some time, and is now available in seven languages worldwide.
